Lennox Honychurch


Lennox Honychurch is a Caribbean anthropologist, historian, academic and artist whose research work is mainly concerned with the contact and cultural exchange between the Carib/Kalinago people of the Lesser Antilles and arrivals from Europe and Africa. He is a citizen of Dominica by birth and a citizen of Barbados by descent, his father and immediate ancestors having been born here. He is a former student of the Lodge School and graduated from Oxford University with Masters and Doctorate degrees in Anthropology. Published works include ‘The Caribbean People’ text books used across the region. Awarded a UWI honorary doctorate, he sits on UWI Open Campus Council and was a former member of Dominica’s House of Assembly.
